چکیده
Pavlovian and instrumental conditioning are fundamental processes helping organisms learn about stimuli that predict rewards in the environment actions lead to their obtainment. These two forms of learning interplay notably exert a strong impact on reward-seeking behaviors. Here, we examined humans whether along with effects cue-driven behaviors involving sexual modulated by reward relevance individual’s orientation. In experiments, manipulated concern-relevance outcomes Pavlovian-instrumental transfer paradigm recruiting heterosexual homosexual men selecting for each Results showed enhanced response most relevant outcome participants’ orientation as well increased its associated cue compared less cue, respectively, thereby reflecting inter-individual differences concerns these effects. findings suggest motivational influence reward-related relies contribute fostering further insight into mechanisms underlying human

متن کاملDifferential Aspects of Natural and Morphine Reward-related Behaviors in Conditioned Place Preference Paradigm
Introduction: Natural rewards are essential for survival. However, drug-seeking behaviors can be maladaptive and endanger survival. The present study was conducted to enhance our understanding of how animals respond to food and morphine as natural and drug rewards, respectively, in a conditioned place preference (CPP) paradigm. Methods: We designed a protocol to induce food CPP and compare it ...
متن کاملDopamine Signaling in reward-related behaviors
Dopamine (DA) regulates emotional and motivational behavior through the mesolimbic dopaminergic pathway. Changes in DA mesolimbic neurotransmission have been found to modify behavioral responses to various environmental stimuli associated with reward behaviors. Psychostimulants, drugs of abuse, and natural reward such as food can cause substantial synaptic modifications to the mesolimbic DA sys...
